Dr. Jylana L. Sheats is a behavior scientist with advanced training in public health and behavioral medicine. She provides cross-sector guidance on: the science and design of health behavior change solutions; equitable community engagement and participatory approaches; and STEM diversity. While well-published and an international speaker, Jylana has also received career development and research awards from the NIH and Inspire awards for her work at Johnson & Johnson. Today, Jylana is a current Aspen Institute Science & Society Program Civic Science Fellow. A graduate of Spelman College, Tulane University School of Public Health & Tropical Medicine, and Indiana University-Bloomington, Dr. Sheats completed her postdoctoral training in behavioral medicine at Stanford School of Medicine.
