Hy Dao, Westminster, California (United States), is a student at University of California Los Angeles, pursuing his Bachelors degree in Biochemistry. He also completed an Associate Degree in Biology, chemistry and natural science from Orange Coast College in California where he was the president of the STEM club where he succeeded in bringing focus to biology and chemistry to the club which mainly concentrated on engineering applications.His passion lies at the intersection of biochemistry and Data Science and AI and wants to use these tools for innovation and research to solve societal challenges, particularly challenges in the field of medical research and public health. He believes that the EquiTech Scholars program can help him reach closer to his goals.
